ABSA is primarily a membership-based organisation. Its activities and direction are determined by its members (including corporate members), and all funds raised are used to provide member services and information to the industry and public. ABSA members can take advantage of the training, support and resources provided by the organisation at discounted rates.
We promote the services of our members and provide a central point of contact for consumers wanting to engage sustainability assessors and corporate supporters. Members benefit from ABSA promotion and improvement of professional standards for sustainability assessors and building sustainability generally.
ABSA membership is open to any person or commercial, not-for-profit or government entity that accepts our objectives and rules and can demonstrate an interest in building sustainability through:
Design, construction, certification or property management
Regulation or assessment
Production or supply of goods or services
Development or distribution of assessment tools/software
Development or provision of related support and training services
