ABSA Conference 2008
Thanks for your interest in the inaugural ABSA Conference 2008 being
held in Melbourne, August 28th to 30th at the Langham Hotel, Southbank.
In response to a widening discussion on climate change and sustainable building practices,
the ABSA Conference program is geared towards raising awareness and knowledge of new
government policy and leading research in residential building energy efficiency for
new and existing housing.
Assessors and energy raters, housing industry representatives, government policy makers,
academics, architects, building designers, engineers & surveyors, as well as those
interested in the measurement of sustainability in the residential housing sector
should plan on attending.
This conference presents the springboard for developing relationships and policies
that will unite the various stakeholders, stimulating the dialogue on uniformity of
standards and practices, and delivering the goals expected by the Australian Government
and the wider community. We hope you’ll be a part of it.
The Delegate Prospectus contains an overview of the conference goals,
a preliminary program which is constantly being updated as arrangements are confirmed,
and most importantly, a registration form.
